Pretty Little Liars Review

September 22, 2012

"Never trust a pretty girl with a ugly secret"

Pretty Little Liars is one of the best TV Programs for teenagers on the earth today. It started in 2010 broad casted by ABC Family based on the novels of the same name by Sara Shepard.

About PLL words from PLL Wikipedia-
"Set in the fictional town of Rosewood, Pennsylvania, the series follows the lives of Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario), Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson), Aria Montgomery(Lucy Hale) and Emily Fields (Shay Mitchell), four girls whose clique falls apart after the disappearance of their queen beeAlison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse). One year later, they begin receiving messages from a mysterious figure using the name "A" who threatens to expose their secrets. At first they think it's Alison herself, but after she is found dead, the girls realize that someone else knows their secrets—including long-hidden ones they thought only Alison knew."

My thoughts-

Although I am only on episode 17/22 of Season 1, I am already intrigued and obsessed. It's the first day of term 3 holidays and I have been locked in my bedroom fascinated by the series. Every episode ends with suspense.

It's interesting to play along with A's mind games and see what unfolds next. Just when you think you know who A is, something happens that makes you think twice.

In Rosewood basically everyone is a suspect.  All of the girls have dark secrets and a story to tell. It has an essence of darkness and is full of mystery, teen drama and lots of thriller. It will have you glued in front of the TV.

It leaves you wanting more, wondering whats going to happen next. It's a series where you learn to expect the un-expected and I think that's one of the elements that makes it that little bit more appealing.

I am hooked and have been from the very first episode. I am so glad that my friend introduced this series to me because I think it's my favourite. I need to catch up though, because in America it's currently on it's third season, eek. But I am so enjoying it and you'd be crazy not to give it a go.

Please note that this series is rated PG 14. Though I think it is appropriate for 12 and up.
Plus it's super catchy (and completely relevant to the series) opening theme "Secret" by The Pierces will be stuck in your head for days.

Well that's all for me. Gotta go watch the rest.

- A (Teehee)

My Rating- 5/5 stars

PS. Thanks Luna and Jordan for introducing it to me and Mom for buying me it while it was TV show of the week on ITunes.

23/9/12- OMG I JUST FINISHED SEASON ONE! TALK ABOUT FAB FINALE'S. I AM ORDERING SEASON 2 OFF EBAY. CAN'T WAIT TO GET MY HANDS ON IT. IT IS SO SO FABULOUS! I AM OBSESSED, IT IS MY NEW ALL TIME FAVOURITE SHOW. TWISTS AND TURNS AT EVERY CORNER.
