Let's talk..

July 14, 2014

So I’ve been a bad blogger. I’m sure this comes as no surprise because as you can see, my blog has been lacking in content the past 2 weeks. Before I start with the excuses I wanted to say that as I type, I am at the library scheduling some cool posts. Because 1) it’s way overdue and 2) I miss blogging and writing posts for everybody.

I’ve been in a reading and blogging slump for the past few months but it’s gotten quite bad. I struggle to read more than one book a month and let me tell you, I miss flicking page by page of a great novel. Today’s my last day of a two week school break and the winter holidays have been good. I turned 14, woo hoo! Watched The Lego Movie, it’s awesome. Hung out with friends, obsessed over the arrival of Teen Wolf Season 4, stalked One Direction update pages and basically, spent all morning and afternoon doing nothing with my life. Where is the productivity? I need some energy.
Anyway school’s tomorrow and I don’t know what to think about that. Am I ready for another term of long essay’s and brutal maths tests? Well not really. But who is ever really for school after lounging around for two weeks? So since I’m in denial about the whole thing, I thought I’d show you all some cute gifs:
The cat obviously wants to stay in bed just like me, you can see were on the same level. Then those dogs are also clearly sharing my lack of energy. Is this me in animal form?
So when I said cute gifs I was obviously going to include Harry Styles, you know that right? How did you not see it coming..

So I wanna know a few things?
  1. How are you doing?
  2. What are you reading or obsessing over at the moment?
  3. What posts would you like to see on the blog?
  4. Any tips for dealing with cases of unproductivity and reading slumps?

Ok I'm feeling a bit better about school now that I've looked at some cute gifs. Phew! Bye x

  1. You didn't add a gif of Dylan O'brien *gasp* but hey I can relate to the whole book slump thing. I have no idea why but I can't into any book at the moment.

    1. Reading slumps suck right? I was definitely considering adding a Dylan O'Brien gif but I think both of them would be too much heat to handle :p Good luck to both of us!

  2. First of happy birthday Sunny. I missed you around. I'm glad to see you back. I wish you had more time off but I totally know how you feel about staying in bed and just reading all day long. It's a luxury I can currently afford but we'll see for how long :)

    Anyhoo a very happy Birthday!
The cat gif is my favourite ^_^
Maybe you could post about your favourite books, or recommend some books. I've been very busy for the past six months so I have no idea what are the latest book crazes etc.

  4. 1) Trying to relax because it's the HOLS. *pops party poppers*
    2) Just finished Deep Blue by Jennifer Donnelly and it was FANTASTIC. The first mermaid book I've proper ADORED.
    3) Anything written by you will be AMAZING.
    4) Either take a well-needed break and DON'T FEEL GUILTY (this does NOT get you out of a slump quicker, only prolongs it because you're stressing) or, if you're really wanting to get into books again, find something that REALLY looks amazing to you and pick it up or reread, reread, reread. :)

    xx
