UPDATE: After receiving so many comments on Sci-fi books, I realised I used the wrong comment question. I used my previous giveaway as a template and forgot to change the question. The new question is, What would your main tactic be to surviving The Hunger Games? God I'm such a nutter.
GIVEAWAY: Catching Fire Double Pass and Hunger Games Boxset
December 14, 2013
Today I am delighted to be hosting a awesome Hunger Games themed giveaway thanks to the lovely folks at Scholastic. I'll be giving away not only a Hunger Games box set but also a double pass to go and watch Catching Fire. Sadly this great giveaway is for Australian residents only and will only be running this weekend. This competition will running between the 14th-15th, from now until 11pm Sunday. Super quick! The lucky winner must reply before 4pm on the 16th. Because of this quick deadline if the winner does not respond during this time, another winner will be selected. I am a massive fan of the Hunger Games Trilogy and actually have not had a chance to go and watch Catching Fire yet, so I'm quite jealous of whoever wins this prize. This is one of two giveaways I'm running at the moment so be sure to check out my giveaway of These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner, which ends on the 18th. May the odds be ever in your favour! a Rafflecopter giveaway

This is such an awesome giveaway! I hope I get to host my own one day and btw I love your new design! Very Christmasy!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read many sci-fi novels. I have only got into the genre in the past year or so, but now I'm hooked. I've found that sci-fi books are a really fun way to escape any dramas of everyday life :)
ReplyDeleteread in peace
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing giveaway! I wish I could enter, and live in Australia, but I hope whoever wins enjoys the books and film!
ReplyDelete-Sophie:)
Such an amazing giveaway! If only I lived down under... Good luck to everyone else though!
ReplyDeleteAnd I actually had to come home from the cinema half way through Catching Fire 'cause I didn't feel well - which was poo. I'll need to go back and see it soon! ;D
What a fantastic giveaway! Thank you so much Sunny and Scholastic! I'll be well jell of whoever wins this prize! Catching Fire is so amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm beginning to love scifi. I can't really say I read a lot of it, but at the same time, a lot of YA that I read can be construed as scifi, but a lot tamer than the hardcore stuff! But if I were stuck on a planet....boy I'd be so inquisitive, I'd probably end up dead within minutes because I've touched/eaten something poisonous!
Hunger Games is on my holiday must-do list so I would be delighted to win your competition. Thanks for the opportunity and good luck to all.
ReplyDeleteI love this series, when i read them i had to borrow the books off my friend, so this would be great then i would have my own copies and could read them again!
ReplyDeleteSci Fi is my thing! Survival list incluldes... try to get ur radio / communicator to work, shelter, food, fire, DEFENSE!! There will be "something" stalking me, so look out for anything to camo up with.
ReplyDeleteSci Fi is MY THING! My planet survival list would include the usual nerd / Bear Grylls type stuff..... working radio, shelter, fire, food, DEFENSE!! There is usually "something" lurking in the shadows so find something to camo up with too.
ReplyDeleteI'm more a watcher than a reader of Sci-Fi - if I were stranded on a planet I'd just enjoy the peace and quiet away from the kids.
ReplyDeleteIf I was stranded on a planet I would try and find out everything I can about the planet and it's inhabitants. Thanks for the awesome giveaway!
ReplyDeleteJeann @ Happy Indulgence
I would run and hide until they had all killed themselves - there is no way I would survive otherwise!! Great giveaway thanks!
ReplyDeleteTo survive The Hunger Games I would use the method that Peeta uses - to blend into my surroundings. I'm not very fast or strong, so this would be my only chance.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great giveaway! I haven't had a chance to watch Catching Fire yet either so thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI have no tactics to survive the hunger games...I would probably be among the first to die :/
Just lie down and pretend to be dead until all the people are gone, then go find somewhere else safer to lie n hide out til everyone else has killed each other or themselves.
ReplyDeleteMy tactic would be to use my mother-in-law as a human shield - two birds, one stone :)
ReplyDeleteI'd use a lot of camouflage and blending in to learn all I can about my opponents and how to beat them (and hope they get to each other first!)
ReplyDeleteI'll be honest, I'd be one of the first ones killed. Although... I could try to encourage someone to carry me on their back too :D
ReplyDeleteMy survival tactic would be to hide, hide, hide. I'm very non-confrontational and would rather hide it all out and them all kill each other first. Then I'd have to think about a final showdown.......I really rather watch it all from my sofa or 'reading' spot! :)
ReplyDeleteKill or be killed I guess, too bad it isnt survival of the fattest, I'd win for sure
ReplyDeleteTake 2 books with me, a good book that I could read in hiding while everyone else killed each other off and a real boring one I would give the the last opponent, hopefully they'd read it a be bored to death (literally) so I'd win without laying a hand on anyone :)
ReplyDeleteI'd probably survive only the first hour. i'm pretty hopeless! :)
ReplyDeleteId hang out with Michael Diamond Australias Olympic champion shooter. He never misses
ReplyDeleteCamouflage - if you cant see me, you cant kill me!
ReplyDeleteMy survival tactic would be to gather every weapon i could find of for my defense and i would go hide and hope i would be the last one left lol
ReplyDeleteI would gather all the weapons i could for my defense and i would run and hide and hope to be the last one left! I'm a wimp haha
ReplyDeletethis would the best present ever to brighten my niece's day
ReplyDeleteThis would be awesome as a gift to cause Christmas happiness
ReplyDeleteWoah! I WANNA MOVE TO AUSTRALIA! This is honestly one of the best giveaways I've seen in a while. :)
