I do agree that Damon is quite hard to like because of his crazy mindset. He is just constantly all over the place... and well angry. I read one Johnson book before and it didn't really blow me away, but Suite Scarlett looks fun. Always wanted to read a mystery thriller set in the woods! There's just something about being surrounded by trees and darkness and crickets that make the creepy feeling... amplified. So sad it wasn't as dark as it was expected to be :( I may check it out just to see how I could take it :D

Lovely review :)

Faye @ The Social PotatoFaye M.https://www.blogger.com/profile/01482378962410177583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9128017656423733440.post-78304824373734592452014-01-22T22:54:37.496+11:002014-01-22T22:54:37.496+11:00I've just recently visited New York and now an...I've just recently visited New York and now anything set there is so vivid in my head, sounds like Suite Scarlett has a lovely setting with great relationships. I've read Killing Woods and eh, it was dark and atmospheric but as you said, a little TOO inconvenient with unlikable characters. Ah well. It's great that it managed to be eerie and creepy even though it didn't turn out like you thought it would.
LOVE Maureen Johnson, she's an absolute loon and it's awesome to see that Suite Scarlett is just as fun as her others :DAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16943851686264137671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9128017656423733440.post-42701187054287152962014-01-20T16:25:11.521+11:002014-01-20T16:25:11.521+11:00Thank you! I've heard great things about Stolen and Flyaway. It was a bit of a shame that I found so many problems with The Killing Woods but I still enjoyed it. Suite Scarlett was super fun, I'm sure you'll enjoy her work. Shame it didn't reach your expecations but I'm glad you enjoyed it. And Maureen Johnson - yay :D I've only read Let it Snow by her but I love her on Twitter and her work with the Vlog Brothers. I have The Name of the Star on my TBR pile so I need to get round to that one too as well as Suite Scarlett.

Thanks for sharing :)Zoehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13145275568220973113noreply@blogger.com
